Hello!
I have bought a OMEN by HP Desktop PC - 880-180nw about 2 years ago and now I would like to upgrade RAM to 16gb(2x8) from 8gb. The problem is PC automatically sets new module to 2133 Mhz while it is 2666 Mhz module. I tried changing frequency in the BIOS but I can't find the option. Motherboard name is Tampa 2 (8437). Any solution?

Hi,
HP does not provide BIOS XMP settings. Your motherboard (Link) will support DDR4 2400 memory.
There are other memory timings involved in this process. The modules you have purchased may not be supported on this motherboard.
I would check HP Part Surfer (Link) for HP compatible memory or try Crucial Memory (Link) to see if they have 2400 modules for your MB.
