Microsoft Windows 11

I'm sorry if this is a ridiculously simplistic question, but my new HP Desktop M01-F2254 has four ports on the front side of the computer that look to me like USB-3 ports, just like those on the back side of the computer where the ordinary hookups like mics, printer, etc. go.  Can the ports on the front side be used in the same way?  I still have a disk drive and an external hard drive to hook up, but I've run out of ports on the back.  Can I use the ports on the front in the same way.  I've looked everywhere in product descriptions and can't even find a mention of them.

The product specs/motherboard specs for your PC indicate that there are four USB 2.0 ports in the rear (very surprising no USB 3), and the four ports on the front are USB 3.2.

You can use the front ports for any USB devices if the 4 rear USB ports have been used.
