HP Z2 Tower G4 Workstation

The title says it all. I bought this M-4365 on the web. It arrived with a cable.  I suspect this cable although plugs on each end are not polarized  is intended to run an LED somwhere, somehow. There is a video online showing an installation where the cable is plugged into a socket on the board near the slot.  There is no socket on my Z2 G4.  Do I really need this cable?

Never mind.  I plugged it int, the OS found it and it's off to the races.  And yes, the cable was for an LED, i wonder where.

I must say that building up a system without mechanical drives is not nearly as exciting. I miss the clatter.
