There's no "Advanced" tab in the BIOS F.29

HP Pavilion TG01-2000i Gaming Desktop PC. Serial number Edited

There is no "Advanced" tab in the BIOS, and after replacing the RAM, I can't set the maximum DDR4 RAM speed to 3200 MHz. The BIOS manager only shows 2667 MHz.How do I access the "Advanced" tab and set the RAM speed parameters?

3. Are you trying to manually enable XMP/DOCP profiles, or are you looking for a direct speed selection in the BIOS?
4. Have you updated the BIOS recently, or are you on the version F.29 dated 09/17/2025?

Here are some troubleshooting steps and considerations:

• Check for XMP/DOCP settings: On many HP Pavilion desktops, the “Advanced” tab may be hidden or removed. Look instead for memory profiles or XMP options under headings like “System Configuration” or “Performance” in the BIOS. Enabling the XMP profile should automatically set the RAM to its rated speed (3200 MHz).
• BIOS update check: Even though you’re on F.29, sometimes HP releases updates that expose more memory configuration options or improve memory compatibility. Confirm on the HP support site if a newer BIOS exists.
• Verify RAM compatibility: HP systems sometimes limit RAM speed if the modules aren’t on their tested list, even if the modules technically support higher speeds.
• Reseat RAM in recommended slots: Some HP motherboards will only allow maximum speed when RAM is installed in specific slots or configurations (e.g., dual-channel matched slots).

1. I have Kingston Fury 2x16GB DDR4 3200MT/s RAM.
2. The memory is installed in the recommended slots.
3. I'm trying to set the RAM speed to the stated 3200MT/s.
Can you tell me how to do this?
4. I downloaded and installed version F.29 from September 17, 2025, on December 4, 2025.

Thanks for your response 

Even if your RAM is rated at 3200MT/s, the motherboard may default to a lower speed unless XMP/DOCP is enabled.

if you have the option for XMP/DOCP  in BIOS setup please find the Steps to Enable RAM at 3200MT/s 

1. Enter BIOS Setup
   • Restart your computer and repeatedly press Esc (or F10 depending on your model) during startup to enter the BIOS menu.
2. Locate Memory Settings
   • Navigate to Advanced → Device Configuration → Memory Settings (menu names may vary by model).
3. Enable XMP/DOCP Profile
   • Look for XMP (Extreme Memory Profile) or DOCP.
   • Enable it and select the 3200MT/s profile. This instructs the motherboard to run the RAM at its rated speed.
4. Save and Exit
   • Save changes and exit BIOS.
   • Your system will restart, and the RAM should now operate at 3200MT/s.
5. Verify in Windows
   • Open Task Manager → Performance → Memory to confirm the speed.
   • Alternatively, use tools like CPU-Z to check that the memory is running at the correct frequency.

Notes

• If XMP is not available in your BIOS, the system may not officially support 3200MT/s, and RAM will default to a lower speed (e.g., 2666MT/s or 2400MT/s).
