My computer is still fast at 3.4 GHZ but thinking of upgrading my memory from 8 GB to 16 GB  G.skil Ripjaws DDR3-1600 PC3-12800  . Then upgrading my grafics from a Nvidia GTX 530 to a ASUS Geforce GT 1030 Overclocked Phoenix fan 2GB GDDR5 PCLE video card .Would I need a new power supply ? Worth it the 200$ upgrade ? or just buy a new one ? 507542_771394_01_front_zoom.jpg480789_344911_03_front_thumbnail.jpg

@Luka81,

Purchasing RAM ?  Better call/email G.skil on the exact match.  RAM modules are specific to the motherboard. You cannot just pick any DDR3-1600 PC3-12800.  Also, you would have to use matching modules throughout the computer.  It's not like adding 2 tires to the rear axle, you need all 4 to match.

The two cards you mentioned are comparable. Neither are power issues.  Both are within same specs.

I found that Crucial is the only one compatable with my computer they suggest two diffent kinds the Crucial 2 8GB kit 2x4 GB DDR3L-1866 -specs, DDR3 PC3-14900 CL=13 or the Crucial 2 8GB kit 2x4GB DDR3-1600 specs, DDR3 PC3-12800 CL=11

Will the faster one work ? They are both the same price.
