Hi @bigbrig18,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your PC!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Check for Windows Updates:
- Ensure your operating system is fully updated. Sometimes Windows updates can fix underlying issues that may affect system performance.
- To do this, go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and click Check for updates.
HP Support Assistant:
- Use HP Support Assistant to check for BIOS updates and other driver updates. HP Support Assistant is an excellent tool for maintaining your HP devices.
- You can launch HP Support Assistant by searching for it in the Start menu or downloading it from HP Support Assistant.
Synchronize Time with an Internet Time Server:
- Ensure that the computer is set to sync its time with an internet time server.
- Go to Settings > Time & Language > Date & Time, then turn on Set time automatically and Set time zone automatically.
- Click on Additional date, time, & regional settings > Set the time and date. In the Date and Time window, click on Internet Time > Change settings, check the Synchronize with an Internet time server option, and select a server from the list.
Check for Malware:
- Sometimes malware can cause issues with system settings, including date and time.
- Run a malware scan using Windows Defender or any reputable anti-virus software.
Reinstall or Reset Windows:
- If none of the above steps work, consider reinstalling or resetting Windows. This can help resolve any software issues that might be causing the problem.
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Recovery, and then select the option to Reset this PC.
I hope this helps.
