HP All-in-One Desktop PC 24-cr0000a (71U92AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Recently got a new HP all-in-one desktop.  When a friend set it up, he transferred data from my old Acer computer to new HP one.  New HP is working well.  Now I need to clear hard drive on old Acer computer.  (1)  How should I do this? Pls. be clear, I am not a tech person.  (2)  Will clearing hard drive on old computer do any damage to new computer programs and browsers, data, etc.?

@Cassie33

The most reliable way to wipe a hard drive is to physically destroy it. If you want to sell or continue using your computer, an alternative is to erase your hard drive from inside the operating system, but this can be slightly complicated, and you may risk losing data if you make a mistake

There are few other ways you can do, one of them is

                Wiping my hard drive clean

Regards.

When I click on "Wiping my hard drive clean" the instructions are for Windows 10.  I have Windows 11.

And you did not respond to my question about whether or not clearing out the old computer would do any damage to info transferred to new computer...???...
