TouchSmart 610
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I added 8GB RAM to my TouchSmart and it comes up as 'installed' but I still only seem to have 8GB available ... not 16GB as shown on the system information.

Is there something I need to change in the BIOS?

Thanks

Anthony

Hi, Anthony:

The only suggestion I can offer would be this...

Run 'msconfig', go to 'boot' tab, click on 'advanced options', and untick 'maximum memory'.

After the restart, it should show the correct amount of usable memory.

Hi Paul,

Never new that advanced option was there ... or what was in it.

Max memory was unticked, so I ticked it, and it came up with the 16gb on it's own ... so I restarted, then unticked it ... and I'm still looking at 8GB both ways.

I appreaciate your suggestion.

Anthony

You're very welcome, Anthony.

Sorry that didn't work for you.

Unfortunately, I don't have any other suggestions for you to try.
