Trouble mounting desk top monitor to base

HP Recommended
Hewlett-Packard Base Mount and two HP ELITEDisplay E222 monitors

I am now working from home and I received 2 monitors and two base. However I don’t see how they  are compatible for proper installation. The teeth for the base face to the side and the monitors have the openings to insert the teeth facing above?

anyone know how to resolve this?

@GG8950 , welcome to the Community.

 

Here is a video that should help you install the base:

 

 

It is not the same exact model, but I believe that the mechanism swivels so you can install the monitor on it.  Let me know if this helps.
