*Been a lurker for a bit but never created an account*
I am looking for a way to turn on PS2 ports(there are ports on the back). We have a-lot of the older style keyboards and mice and they work fine. Issue is I have these refurbished PCs and no way to turn the older keyboard/mice on. Im new to this whole process and Im stumped and been all over the internet looking.
-I have went to registry and changed the i8042prt (HKEY_Local_machine\system\currentcontrolset\services\) edited the value data of “START” from 3 to 1.
-I have upgraded to the latest BIOS flash avail. On the HP website.
-BIOS stated its: k01 v02.90 (HP compaq 6300 SFF) win10
-When I get into the BIOS setting, I go to adv settings, onboard devices, I only see serail port A and then some strange options(I have NO IDEA what they mean). IO and IRQ settings?
-looking in the wrong place in the BIOS all together maybe?
Some help would be wonderful. I have several PCs to upgrade so Id really like to keep the peripherals we have.
thanks.
