@OldSailor-cva59 , welcome to the Community.

I don't believe that you will find a BIOS update for your computer because of the age (Released 2014), especially since it was released with Win 8.1.

There are some updates available here but there is no need plus a problem.

(1) You have to know the ROM family:  the type of bios chip on the motherboard.

That probably involves using a magnifier to look at the chip and then decode

       or translate what is there

(2) Win11 can be fooled into installing on just about any old computer.

Hello
sorry @old_geekster  for the intervention ..
@OldSailor-cva59

although you should indeed be able to change that, if you haven't already ..
I strongly advise you not to try any modifications in order to try windows 11 ..
I did not verify, but the computer may not be 100% compatible, and therefore you will not be able to take advantage of all the options of w11 ..
I tell you, because I tested with a computer, which is compatible, but which still does not have all the functionalities
To put it simply, no interest, if your computer is working, leave it alone.
If you want to give it a try, make a disk image with specialized software!
If this is your model

and even not clear model point of view you have this

HP System Desktop BIOS Update for 2013 HP Pavilion 500-axx PC PC models(with a 2AE0 ROM Family)

[edit]

If it is this motherboard, you also have a more recent version indicated

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-envy-700-200-desktop-pc-series/5399651...

80.52 Rev.A

Improved security of UEFI code and variables. HP strongly recommends promptly transitioning to this updated BIOS version which supersedes all previous releases.

NOTE: Due to security changes, after this BIOS update is installed, previous versions cannot be reinstalled.

Just for information, I still advise against trying all this
