OMEN 870-230
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I would like to use a Cyber Power UPS model AVRG900LCD with my OMEN 870-230. When the UPS is powering the PC from battery it generates a simulated sine wave. Can my PC run with a simulated sine wave?

That should be fine and will not harm the system. Most budget UPS on the market are simulated sine wave. PFC UPS are generally used on sensitive medical and scientific equipment. CyberPower does offer PFC UPS but they are about double the price of simulated sine wave UPS. I have used a variety of UPS models over the years and none were PFC. And I have never had a problem either with prebuilt or custom built PC systems. Are PFC preferable, yes but then it depends on what kind of budget you have set aside for a UPS.

Thank you JJOcean. I agree a pure sine wave UPS would be preferable but they are indeed more expensive.
