USB - ports (hp) monitor

Hello , on ubuntu 18.04 the usb port on the monitor worked,

but since i upgraded to 22.04 they don´t work anymore.

there is power but no data transfer

i tried [powertop] in terminal

 is there a way to adjust the usb settings from the monitor ?

Any way to solve it ?

i tried resetting the monitor, and the video driver

The desktop is an HP elite 7300 secret mt. De monitor an HP Compaq LA2205wg. Would it help to use an hmdi cable, will the dekstop read the usb on the monitor then ??

 I have an hp dekstop from around 2011 (product number: xt239ea#abh)  and an hp monitor: compaq LA 2205wg.

Will an hdmi cable work and which kind, the one i bought didn't fit into the monitor ?

 

Am using "thetering" to connect with the web and it would be verry handy if the usb on the monitor works for data~transfer. Because normally when the pc is off there is still power on them to reload the phone.
