HP ENVY h8-1534 Desktop PC
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

All I did was add four new ram memory chips CORSAIR VENGEANCE 32GB (4 x 8GB) 1600 MHz DDR3 240-Pin Desktop Memory and now instead of full memory I'm only getting half of that. Any help would be very appreciated.

@JLM3003 , welcome to the forum.

It appears to me that all of the specs of the new memory should be fine.  The only thing that I can't determine are the timings of the new memory.  What is the model, such as, CMZ32GX3M4X1600C10?  This memory has timings of 10-10-10-27.

HP has their motherboards made to their specifications.  Therefore, they are not necessarily the same as a retail board.  The newer memory, especially the gaming memory, isn't always compatible.

Hi buddy, I know this is old, but no one got back to you and i ran across this chasing down a similar problem. I wanted to share what I have already learned about the angelica MB, it cannot handle 32gb of ram, don't believe the hype. Buried in the upgrade manual that the h8-1534 came with, it states "● 16.0 GB maximum installable memory using
4GB Modules. Actual available memory that
can be used in Windows will be less.

I know HP service kinda sucks and they haven't bothered you with a response, and when they do it'll be all sorts of nonsense.
