HP ENVY 34 inch All-in-One Desktop PC 34-c1000 IDS Base Model

Unable to upgrade the memory on my ENVY 34-c1045t All-in-One. I have tried various DDR5 brands and Mhz with no luck.  The HP continues to error stating incompatible memory.  The latest attempt was DDR5 64 GB (2x32) sticks at 4800MHZ.   Not sure why HP makes it so difficult to upgrade.    I just need to know what memory is compatible so I can purchase.   This is very exhausting.    Running BIOS version 7.18.

Attempted:

TEAMGROUP Elite SODIMM DDR5 64GB (2x32GB) 4800MHz (PC5-38400) CL40 Non-ECC Unbuffered 1.1V 262 Pin Laptop Memory Module Ram - TED564G4800C40DDC-S01

Crucial RAM 64GB Kit (2x32GB) DDR5 5600MHz (or 5200MHz or 4800MHz) Laptop Memory CT2K32G56C46S5

Crucial RAM 32GB DDR5 4800MHz CL40 Laptop Memory CT32G48C40S5

None of these worked.

The specs of your machine is

           https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/pdp/hp-envy-all-in-one-34-c1045t-4g585av-1#techSpecs

It has 16 GB DDR5-4000 MHz RAM (2 x 8 GB) of RAM  and you can have following options

  • 32 GB DDR5-4000 MHz RAM (2 x 16 GB)
  • 64 GB DDR5-3600 MHz RAM (2 x 32 GB)
  • 128 GB DDR5-3200 MHz RAM (4 x 32 GB)

Must be some reasons HP supports lower speed RAM as shown above.

Understood! I will check with Crucial. However, Teamgroup memory also didn't work. For my fourth attempt, I will try Samsung memory, as another post mentioned it was compatible. It should arrive on June 10, 2024. I will post the results once tested.

Another question. I've been searching the internet and unable to find 64 GB DDR5-3600 MHz RAM .   Almost seems proprietary to HP.

My experience: another day I upgraded RAM for my HP Elitebook 840 G5 (I'm typing on it right now) using "compatible" Crucial RAM and it did not work, I could not return because outside the country.

I used CPU-Z to check model/product of the existing RAM and order from Amazon and it worked.

Regards.
