Hi all,
I have an HP Pavillion Gaming TG01-2xxx desktop with an unusual issue. The PC had no issues until one day when the USB-C port (on the front panel, it has an SS and a usb logo above it) started having issues. One day when I plugged in a known good USB-C cable into the port, it would not connect and I unplugged the cable and the tip of the cable was very hot. I tried with another cable and got the same result. The other ports are fine from what I have tested, the only port I havent tested is the other USB port directly above it. I'm hoping someone knows what the issue may be and I'm willing to provide more info if needed. I cant remember if this occured before or after I swapped my graphics card from the OEM AMD RX 5500 to a NVIDIA GTX 1660-Ti.
Thanks in advance

Greetings @pc22_
Is your PC in warranty?
A USB port hardware failure could be indicated when one specific USB port has a problem.
Or a possible SMD problem or a MB circuit problem exists.
A really hot USB connector could indicate a circuit over current condition.
Troubleshooting this could result in replacing hardware.
