BD Combo Drive DH-12E3SH-BT2 Mfr. 2012. Looking for drivers to update. DVD will not eject consistently. Tries but seems to be locked and won't slide out. When it works (rarely), it comes out and immediately draws disc drawer back in.

Welcome to the HP Forum.

I can't say for sure but your DVD ejection problem would appear to be hardware related.

Basic CD/DVD drivers are usually provided by the Windows operating system.

Do you see any Device driver errors in Device Manager?

Regards

The problem I'm having is that the tray won't eject. I can hear it bumping up against what must be the lock that holds it when it's closed, but it won't release. It worked for years on the Microsoft Drivers, but I figured I'd try that first. I used a Driver Installer Program that scanned and updated the necessary fixes, but there was no need to fix the DVD Player. So, I agree with you, and thank you for the prompt response.

My pleasure.

I guess it might replace the DVD drive time.
