I just got a TP01-2234 Pavillion desktop recently and I am looking to upgrade the power supply. I am looking to adding a dedicated graphics card and I know I will need to upgrade the power supply before adding the graphics card. The desktop current power supply is PN L70042-012. Trying to find a 350W or 400W replacement power supply is very confusing due to the 7 pin connector. The current power supply 7 pin connector has 4 wires. One of the four wires is purple. Most of the power supplies I have come across have a 7 pin connector that only has 3 wires and none are purple.
When looking through HP's Part Store and Part Surfer does not find my current power supply. When I type in TP01-2234 in the Part Surfer it comes up with all the parts for my desktop; however, the power supply that is in the parts list is L81008-800. When I put that part number in the Part Surfer nothing comes up.

Would like to know what is a good upgrade power supply for my desktop.

Don't worry about the 'absent' purple wire in the P2 power connector.

Here are the part numbers for compatible 400-watt and 500-watt power supplies for your HP Pavilion TP01-2234 followed by purchase options/examples from trusted eBay Sellers:

400-watt with p/n: L04618-800 or 942332-001: https://www.ebay.com/itm/226846142884?_skw=L04618-800&itmmeta=01JZVNFDWRC1GZGQCGSHW83ZGK&hash=item34....

500-watt with p/n: 901759-013: https://www.ebay.com/itm/394776538414?_skw=901759-013&itmmeta=01JZVNEE5K1YA6B2ZG3MGJWWTK&hash=item5b....
