HPE 510t
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have an older HP desktop computer. It's HPE-510t . Would anyone know if I could upgrade to Windows 10 on this computer.

I'm using Windows 7 Professional 64bit.

Thanks,

R. Herz

Hi:

The main hardware meets the specs to install W10, but HP does not support that model for W10 since it was built prior to August of 2013.

So there would be no W10 driver support from HP.

Your PC is a configured to order (CTO) model.

Things that might not work would be the IDT Beats audio and the wifi adapter.

According to this link, you may still be able to get the free upgrade to W10.

https://www.zdnet.com/article/heres-how-you-can-still-get-a-free-windows-10-upgrade/

I followed the guidance just last week and upgraded a Dell OptiPlex 7020 business desktop from W8.1 to W10.

You can take the chance and see how W10 works on your model.

If it doesn't work as you hoped, you can roll back to W7 within 30 days as long as you don't delete any of the upgrade files or the Windows.old folder.

Just click on the blue Update Now button at the link below...

If the audio doesn't work correctly after installing W10, this W10 driver sometimes fixes the issue.  Install and restart the PC.
