I have HP TouchSmart 600 (s.number: [edited], SKU number:XF685EA#UUW) with Intel Core i5-460M CPU.
Can I upgrade CPU to Intel Core i7 720QM Quad Core?
(or Intel Core i7 820QM Quad Core, Intel Core i7 620M Dual Core)

For better clarity and to assist you better I would require information regarding this:
For a start please try these steps:
- Did you check the product specs or motherboard of your computer?
For now, please check the motherboard specs:

It clearly states that I7 Quad core processor is upgradeable and compatible.
Intel Core i7 820QM Quad Core (C)
Intel Core i7 720QM Quad Core (C)
Intel Core i7 620M Dual Core (A)
Intel Core i5 5x0M Dual Core (A)
Intel Core i5 430M Dual Core (A)
These are the only list of processors that are tested by HP.
Please check under the option "Processor upgrade information"

Please note that HP does not recommend upgrading either the operating system or the computer’s hardware as the components that were initially installed with the unit are certified by HP for optimal performance. However, as you are very technically inclined, I would still request you to consult a local technician like Best Buy or Staples before proceeding to upgrade the unit.
This is to ensure that there are no compatibility issues and everything is a smooth sail.
Please perform all these steps patiently as it is critical to resolving the issue. The trick is to remain patient, Going by your technical expertise and competence I am sure you will be able to perform these steps without breaking a sweat.

i am not able to download all its drivers after i formatted it i still have missing drivers in device manager.
and i need to know if my motherboard is upgradable to cpu i7
