HP Z2 Tower G5 Workstation (9FR64AV)

Hi Guys,

I have a Z2 G5 Tower workstation with I5 10500, I need to perform a CPU upgrade to W-1270P, when I insert the cpu I get the message "System halted: The CPU is unsuported" Check the specifications of the workstation and if it must support this CPU, update the BIOS to the latest recommended version, but the message of not compatible continues to appear, has anyone experienced a similar case? or actually Z2 G5 tower doesn't support W-1270P

According to the HP documents I have read, the W-127P is a supported processor.

The only thing that comes to mind is other circumstances where members attempting an upgrade have not installed the processors with HP part numbers.

You can find that information at the HPE partsurfer at the hyperlink below.

Thanks for the answer, I'll investigate, maybe z2g5 has a custom bios to support this processor?
