Product: HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop 690-0084

My computer has the HP/Lincs 834B motherboard. I am thinking upgrading CPU to i5-9600KF. Does this mother board support -F CPU? I have separate GPU installed.

Yes, your PC is compatible with ALL Intel Core 8th and 9th-gen processors, including all "F" processors, and even all "KF" processors, such as the i7-9700KF -which I would recommend as providing the best performance-bang for your buck.

@Jcrick123,

 

Unless you stress an i7-9700K/F to the max, you should be fine. Since your PC doesn't allow overclocking, overheating is only a remote possibility.  Then there is always the option to upgrade your CPU heatsink.
