OMEN 30L Desktop PC GT13-1000a (207P7AV)

Does anyone know if there will be compatibility issues with the motherboard in upgraded my Omen 30L (late 2021 model) to an Nvidia 40 series or AMD 7000 series?  I will determine if the card will fit in my case and have a 750W power supply, so should be good there.  Just wondering if a BIOS update is needed or if there are any other potential issues.

Thanks

@X12341234,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

You have come to the right place.

Your OMEN 30L Desktop PC GT13-1000a (207P7AV), as per: https://partsurfer.hp.com/partsurfer/?searchtext=328M9AAR&searchby=product , and: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_4853259-4853773-16, is fitted with a Hana motherboard (SSID: 8876).

To cut to the chase: the answer your question: you should indeed be A-OK to upgrade your Rig with the newest graphics card generation. Look no further than this show-and-tell HP OMEN 30L Desktop GT13-1xxx User example as fitted with an RTX 4090 24GBhttps://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/61171783.

I have no knowledge that a BIOS upgrade is necessary, but you can always check here: OMEN 30L Desktop PC GT13-1000a (207P7AV) Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Customer Support.

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,
