HP Pavilion Desktop - TP01-1036ng

I'm currently using an HP Pavilion TP01-1036ng Desktop-Pc, which is an older model from 2020, and I would like to upgrade it with a new GPU.

My main concern is the power supply. The built-in GPU, a GT 1030, consumes 30W, while the GPU I want to install, an RTX 3050 with 6GB, has a power consumption of 70W. However, my PC is equipped with only a 180W PSU, so I need to determine whether I will need a new one for this upgrade.

I would prefer to avoid replacing the PSU, as it can be quite complicated due to the non-ATX connection to the motherboard. This would either require purchasing one of the expensive, hard-to-find HP power supplies with a higher maximum power consumption or modifying the connection cable for the PSU, which I am reluctant to do for safety reasons.

I have also come across a solution that involves powering the GPU with a secondary ATX power supply, but that seems even less feasible.

I know this probably is, even if it works, not a good Idea, but I can't afford a new Pc, while also need to upgrade my hardware

So, my question is: can I continue using my 180W PSU if the overall power consumption of my system increases by about 40W?

System specifications:

Intel® Core™ i7-10700 (CPU)

NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 1030 (2 GB GDDR5 dedicated) (GPU)

16 GB DDR4-2933 MHz RAM

512 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD

DVD-Writer

180 W Smart AC power adapter (PSU)

HP 8767 (mainboard)

The  RTX 3050 requires a supplemental power connector which your PC's power supply does not have and the 70W power draw would be too much for the 180W PSU to handle anyhow.

You can get the 400W power supply from on eBay: €88.41

The power supply is on backorder at the HP parts store and would cost €197.72 when in stock.
