Here is what I did to upgrade the graphics card on my computer. This unit has a SSD NVME SSD, a tenth generation i7-10700 Intel Processor and DDR-4 memory. So I found a motherboard that would take a transplant of these items, Added a case, power supply, and upgraded graphics card, and then transplanted the parts into a new non HP system. Salvage what you can and move on.

@Erdos777 -- what was the wattage of the power-supply in the HP computer?
What is the wattage of the power-supply in the new computer?
Did you need to purchase a new license for Windows 10, given that the license for the HP computer is "tied" to the original HP motherboard (and the HP network-card & video-adapter) ?

120W in old - 500 W in new
I did purchase a new license but found out I could have recovered the key and injectable BIOS bin file before moving the parts. At least that is what I’ve read. It was a pain. I should have sold the unit and bought another system that I built. Never again will I purchase a PC from HP again.
