PAVILION Elite HPE-420it
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Sorry for my english but I'm using google translator.
I have a Pavilion Elite HPE-420it with the following characteristics:
- AMD Radeon HD 5570 graphics card,
- 6Gb of DDR3 RAM,
- MSI 2A9C motherboard,
- INTEL i5 750 processor.
The time has come to do some upgrades to keep it in step with the times because those few times I play with it, the pc has a hard time running the latest games, what can I install? I would like something with the right quality / price ratio.
I just ordered a SAMSUNG 860 EVO 1Tb SSD as the first step.
Thanks a lot!!

@Braking, In the long run, new is better.  Please post your thoughts on the model.

Buying a low grade model within the same series is foolish.  Current HP desktops use proprietary PSU that cost $90-100 just to upgrade.  If you get the 256GB M.2 SSD boot device, you will be upgrading within the year.

@Braking,

This unit predates Sept 2012, as the HD 5570 is circa 2011. Original OS was WIN 7. Processor is circa 2009, as shown here.  The SATA controller is SATA 300, not the SATA 600. Expect 50% reduced data speed on that SSD.

Answer this, what is the BIOS mode, see here.    If it comes back, Legacy, as I suspect, you limited to non-modern GPU like the GTX 660, or the HD 6xxx series.  Courtesy of @Paul_Tikkanen

Do not expect it to be updated to anything modern.

Thanks so much for the quick reply. That's right, the PC buys it in 2010, it has its years; I certainly don't expect it to keep up with the times, but I wanted to ask what I could install more modern based on the features. Is it better not to spend money and think about buying a more modern pc?

@ Wb2001 thank you very much for the advice. I will only increase the RAM a bit and install an SSD that I can use later if the PC breaks. It's a small, low-cost upgrade considering I'm not a gamer and a professional. Thanks again!
