Is it possible to upgrade my RAM to 16 GB and to upgrade the SSD to 512GB+ on this machine? If so, what would be the best way to go about doing so?

@meganrgal05, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the upgrade of your unit.
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution. We hope our assistance has been helpful!

Here is what you need to know:

Dual channel memory architecture

Two DDR4 SODIMM (260-pin) sockets

Supports up to PC4-23400 (DDR4-2933)

Supports 4 GB and 8 GB DDR4 SODIMMs

Supports up to 4 GB on 32-bit systems

note:

32-bit systems cannot address a full 4.0 GB of memory.

Supports up to 16 GB (unbuffered) with two 8 GB DIMMs on 64-bit systems

note:

Maximum memory shown reflects the capability of the hardware and can be limited further in the operating system.

I suggest you to refer this product specification of your unit for more information: HP Desktop PCs - Motherboard Specifications, Brighton | HP® Support
