Hello,

I have a HP All-in-one 22-Df0xxx and it is using 86% of available memory, just using it for simple office based tasks, Chrome, Excel, printing, etc.

Processor Intel(R) Pentium(R) Silver J5040 CPU @ 2.00GHz (2.00 GHz)

Installed Ram 8.00 GB (7.75 GB usable)

System Type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Performance Memory suggests it is using 5.9 compressed memory of 8GB.

Capacity DeviceLocator FormFactor Manufacturer MemoryType PartNumber Speed
4294967296 DIMM0 12 SKHynix 0 HMA851S6CJR6N-XN 3200
4294967296 DIMM1 12 Samsung 0 2400

This seems to suggest two 4GB RAM one faster than the other?  I should replace both of these for 8GB or even 16GB (would it help much more?) ...

MaxCapacityEx 33554432

divided by   1,048,576.  Gives 32 GB capacity.

What product do you kind folks recommend installing to improve the RAM?

Thank you,

yesmaybe

Greetings @yesmaybe

Welcome to the HP Forum.

I would suggest you look at Crucial Memory for compatible memory upgrades. Crucial memory should work with your PC. However, nothing is certain in life.

22-dfoxxx is a generic product number.

You should input your PC's specific product number  at Crucial to get a good hit if you manually input your PC's info. Or you could try the Crucial Scanner.

I used 22-df0000i since you have an Intel CPU. This Crucial Link lists possible memory module purchase options using 22-df0000i.

Again, you need to do the correct product number at Crucial or try the Scanner.

The 22-df0000i link lists an 8 GB memory module at 3200 MT/s, part number CT8G4SFRA32A. I would buy two sticks of this memory if this part works with your specific HP PC.

Remove the HP factory memory. Install the Crucial memory.

You will now have 16 GBs of memory. Your PC should run better if your HP PC likes the Crucial memory.

Thanks for your reply.  You were correct and the Crucial website confirm the system is "HP 22-df0000i All-in-One"

I am ready to order those through cpc farnell.

However, I have been scared by some youtube video comments suggesting removing the screen is troublesome and it is very easy to crack the monitor; would you agree there is a risk of this operation...   I am delicate but I am not a doctor of plastic surgery.

Greetings @yesmaybe

My pleasure.

I agree. You have to be careful when disassembling AIO PCs and Laptops.

Don't use metal prying tools or screwdrivers. It is possible to damage SMT components if the prying tool is inserted too far.

It might be wise to have a local PC Tech upgrade the memory.

Regards
