Hello Everyone,

I wanted to confirm that can I upgrade ram in this pc.

 
HP Pavilion All-in-One - 24-qb0053in.

 

While playing games, or doing video editing, my screen goes black with white lines on it. Pls solve this and let me know that can I upgrade.

It states that your computer came with 8 GB of RAM.

But, it does not state whether it came with two 4 GB sticks, or with one 8 GB stick, and one empty socket.

So, you have a few options:

  • remove the two 4 GB sticks, and add two 8 GB sticks, to maximize the RAM at 16 GB.
  • add one 4 GB stick into the empty socket, to achieve 12 GB.
  • add one 8 GB stick into the empty socket, to achieve 16 GB.

However, given the symptoms that you have listed, adding RAM probably will not eliminate those symptoms.
