I'm interested in trying to upgrade my existing 256GB PCIe SSD to a larger size, but I can't seem to find any specs on potential max storage size the computer supports.  Does anyone know what the max size might be, or where I might be able to find out?

Hi:

Unfortunately, no one can tell you exactly how large a capacity SSD you can install because there is no software that I know of that is available to provide that information.

Theoretically, the sky's the limit as long as you install a single-sided SSD.

The Crucial SSD report for your PC indicates that they sell NVMe SSD's up to 4 TB in storage capacity.

Your PC according to the product number you posted, has an Intel Z390 chipset, which is PCIe Gen 3.0.

What that means is if you decide to install a PCIe Gen 4.0 NVMe SSD, it will not run at its maximum advertised read/write speeds from a Gen 3 SSD slot.

Gen 3 SSD's may or may not cost less than a Gen 4.0 SSD nowadays and some manufacturers such as Samsung only produce Gen 4 NVMe SSDs in 2 TB or greater storage capacities.

This chart shows the maximum theoretical transfer speeds from the various PCIe generations.
