Anytime.
Neither processor is listed as supported, so it would have to be an experiment on your part.
They came out around the same time as the supported first generation core processors and have a similar operating range, so it is remotely possible either one could work.

Hi, Tony:
My understanding is that you cannot upgrade to any of the 1st generation i5 or i7 quad core processors unless the PC has a discrete graphics adapter.
The quad core processors cannot run off the onboard Intel graphics adapter.
So, if you can upgrade to a better dual core processor than what you have now, that should be fine.

OK, good.
Then you should be able to upgrade to any of the processor series listed on your PC's motherboard specs page you posted.
I could not find any product specs on that model...just the motherboard specs.
Many folks with desktop PC's don't know about that quirk with the i5 and i7 1st gen core processors not working with the onboard Intel graphics, and you will find several posts regarding this.
They see the processors are listed as supported on the motherboard specs page, but nowhere does it show that you have to have a discrete graphics adapter.
With a standard deaktop PC, the fix is easy...install a supported PCIe x16 graphics card, but with your model, getting an MXM graphics card, and heatsink, and maybe even an upgraded external power supply, takes more work.
For example on the HP 8xxx Elite USDT business class models, you can't just add an mxm card.
You also have to upgrade the external power supply to the 180W model.

You're very welcome.
I would go with the max...the i7-870 because it is the same wattage as the i5-750.
I just hope the extra 22 W won't be too much for the 180W power supply.
I would have to guess it wouldn't be since there is no mention of any other power supply being required for a processor upgrade.
