Product: Z230 Workstation
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Can I upgrade to a faster processor, than the one I have now, which is

a Xenon E3 1225 v3, if so which is the best to go for.

@Peteace , welcome to the Community.

 

Here is the Maintenance and Service Guide.  According to the specifications on Page 17 the motherboard has support for the Xeon E3 v3 up to 95W.  The Xeon E3 1225 v3 is 84W.  Therefore, I believe that it should work.
