MSI-Aspen Mainboard
Currently installed RAM DDR2 Kingston PN kcm633-elc SN [Private information removed] 400 mhz
I've used the HP Operating System Check app. it states...
Total installed 4 GB
Mem used 3.05 (i think I'm maxing this out)
Memory free 972.55 MB
Maximum Capacity 16 GB
Total Memory Banks 4
(Bank 0 Occupied Installed 1 GB Speed 800MHZ manufacturer CE00000000000000 Device Locator : a1)
What I'm looking for is the exact name/Part number of the upgraded chips. such as
(EX. of what I found so far....16GB 4x4GB PC2-6400 DDR2-800MHz Non-Ecc 240Pin DIMM AMD CPU Desktop Memory)

Hi Michael,
I've tried searching for you PC-s specs to see what ram-s it supports, but I couldn't found it. Some websites says it supports up to 8 Gb of ram. Anyway considering it's not the newest machines I would suggest buying just 8Gb of RAM, because $65 is too much dor ust DDR2 RAM-s, DDR3-s are around that price.
So I found an Ebay seller who sells RAM-s like your, I pasted your model number and it showed this one, it hink those are compatible and reliably priced. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Kingston-1-GB-1Rx8-PC2-6400U-DDR2-800-RAM-KCM633-ELC-NON-ECC-TESTED-/151230...
If it's not compatible I suggest buying the 8Gb version from Amazon, and upgrade the whole system later.https://www.amazon.com/Kuesuny-PC2-6400-PC2-6400U-Non-ECC-Unbuffered/dp/B07PV8ML56/ref=psdc_172500_t...
Thank you,
Barnabas
