Please verify: the best processors that can be fitted in an HP Z210 CMT Workstation as per: https://www.bargainhardware.co.uk/media/quick-specs/workstations/hp-z210-quick-specs.pdf and: UserBenchmark: HP Z210 Workstation Compatible Components, are the Xeon E3-1290 or the i7-2700K, given its Intel C206 chipset with Socket 1155.

 

On the other hand, a Xeon E5-1620 v2 is not compatible with the aforementioned chipset but requires the Intel X79 or the C602 Chipset with processor Socket 2011.
