I have a Slimline Desktop model S01-pF1025se that came with a Western Digital 128GB PCle M.2 NVMe SSD. I have two M.2 expansion slots available in which I would like to install a 1TB SSD. My concern is which SSD to purchase from Amazon since so many look kind of alike. Could someone please help me with which SSD to purchase?

Hi:
According to the product specs for your PC, the M.2 SSD slot it has is occupied by the 128 GB NVMe SSD and the other M.2 slot is occupied by the wifi adapter, and that slot can only be used for a wifi adapter, not a second SSD.
The expansion slots listed are 'not available' in your specific model.
So, you will need to replace the 128 GB M.2 SSD with the 1 TB SSD.
I recommend this model which has very good performance for the price.

Thank you for the reply and suggestion on the Samsung SSD. Now I am totally flabbergasted, how do I go about cloning the existing SSD if I don't have an expansion slot available? I am not all that computer sharp.

You're very welcome.
I usually don't clone the OS to a new drive.
I clean install Windows on the new drive or use recovery media to do that.
Your PC is supported by the HP cloud recovery tool, which you can use to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your PC.
You will need a 32 GB USB flash drive to create the recovery media.
Here is an info link for how to use the cloud recovery tool...

If you want to clone the drive, you will need to buy a USB3 NVMe adapter, put the new SSD in there and then clone the OS to it. Something like this...
