I want to upgrade SSD in my laptop model no Elitebook x360 1040 G5 , Can I have another slot to to add a SSD ? And SSD capacity size ?

Chapter 1 of the service manual indicates that HP offered NVMe SSD's up to 2 TB in storage capacity.

There is only support for one M.2 NVMe SSD, so if you want more storage, you will need to remove the existing drive and install one having a greater storage capacity.

 

If you want to install a drive greater than 2 TB, that should be fine, as long as the drive is single-sided so it fits in the SSD slot.
