Hi, so I love my computer, but I have not been able to play one of my favorite games on it since I got it (Sims 4). I tried adjusting settings as other forums suggested, but game play is still not running smoothly. I was told to try and upgrade the video card if possible. I don't know if it Is.

The minimum requirements are:

  • CPU : Intel Core 2 Duo | AMD Athlon 64 Dual-Core 4000+
  • RAM : 2 GB RAM
  • HDD : 15 GB available space
  • GPU : NVIDIA GeForce 6600 |  ATI Radeon X1300 | Intel GMA X4500
  • OS : Windows XP,  Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10
  • Screen Resolution : 1024 × 768 or better
  • Direct X : DirectX 9.0c Compatible
  • Network : Broadband Internet connection

The recommended requirements are:

  • CPU : Intel Core i5 |  AMD Athlon X4
  • RAM : 4 GB RAM
  • HDD : 15 GB available space
  • GPU : NVIDIA GTX 650
  • OS : 64-bit 64 Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, or Windows 10
  • Screen Resolution : 1024 × 768 or better
  • Direct X : DirectX 9.0c Compatible
  • Network : Broadband Internet connection

IIf it is please let me know what route I should go if not maybe there is a maximum video card I can replace my current one with?

Thank!

I see you tagged the Hp slim desktop 290-a0030 as the PC.  If that is the case, there is not video card as it used integrated graphics from the CPU.  The is no PCIExpress slot either, on the Cosmo A4 motherboard,

Sorry.  If the PC model is different, then there might be an alternative.
