@jotaxfff,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

Your HP Z440 Workstation fitted with the Hewlett-Packard 212B motherboard, according to: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04506309, and: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04823811.pdf, and: mmo_32750664_1496792865_285_8190.pdf (eet.eu), is compatible with the Intel C612 chipset to support up to eight-core Intel Xeon E5-1600 v3 and E5-2600 v3 processor series (Haswell, 22 nm), as well as the Intel Xeon E5-1600 v4 and E5-2600 v4 (Broadwell, 14nm) processor family, including processors of up to 140 watt.

There are actually also a couple of Intel Core processors that HP Z440 Workstation Users have found to be compatible, including the: i7-6850K, i7-5930K, i7-5820K, and the i7-6950X -all having a TDP of 140 watt.

To answer your question, it appears that the Xeon E5-4669 v3 is not compatible with the HP Z440 Workstation.

Here is an HP Z440 Workstation User benchmark link you may find useful: https://www.userbenchmark.com/System/HP-Z440-Workstation/10597.

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,
