Hi all
Iwould like to upgrade the air Flow in m'y case. I would like to change the front and rear fans.
Would à corsair ML 120 pro 120 MM PWM fit with the case and the connectors. I would like to change the front and rear fan. The rear fan is in front of the liquid cooler for the cpu. Would the corsair fan be fine?
Thanks for your comment.

Hi @Hundel,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.
I understand you're looking for help with upgrading the hardware on your PC.
I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, I'm here to help you today.
Upgrading the airflow in your HP Omen 880-182nf is a great idea to enhance cooling and potentially extend your hardware's lifespan. Here's a breakdown to help you determine if the Corsair ML120 Pro fans are compatible:
1. Fan Compatibility
- Fan Dimensions: The Corsair ML120 Pro is a 120mm fan, which should fit standard 120mm mounting points in your case. The HP Omen 880-182nf uses 120mm fans for both front intake and rear exhaust.
- Connectors: The Corsair ML120 Pro uses a 4-pin PWM connector for power and control. Ensure that your motherboard has 4-pin headers available. The Omen motherboard typically includes connectors for CPU cooler and system fans, but check your motherboard's manual or inspect the headers to confirm.
2. Liquid Cooler Compatibility
- The rear fan is mounted in front of the CPU liquid cooler's radiator. Replacing it with the Corsair ML120 Pro should work fine as long as:
- The radiator mounting screws align with the Corsair fan.
- The fan’s airflow is oriented correctly (push or pull, depending on your setup).
3. Improved Performance
- The ML120 Pro is a high-performance fan with magnetic levitation bearings, offering improved airflow and reduced noise. It’s a solid choice for both airflow and static pressure scenarios (like radiators), making it suitable for the rear fan in your setup.
4. Installation Tips
- When installing the fans, make sure:
- The front fan is oriented to pull air into the case.
- The rear fan is oriented to push air out of the case.
- Verify fan curves in the BIOS or through software like HP Command Center or a third-party tool for optimal control.
