Hello, I purchased a used pavilion for cheap and have put some money into upgrading it, dedicated graphics and a sound card. However there is conflicting information online about the compatibility of various parts. I would like to know the absolute maximum RAM I can install in my system and what kind (ddr4 2666 I think). Also what is the best CPU I can use, I have heard that the I7-8700 is the best it is compatible with but have also heard it is not compatible with my motherboard. Also I would like to know what kind of PSU would fit and what I should look for to upgrade that. Thanks in advance
(edit) for the cpu I would prefer if I could overclock but not required

The HP 590 -p0030 has the LINCS motherboard and utilizes a proprietary 310W PSU. It is known to support the 400W L04618-800. Some modding of the rear ventilation is required. At that wattage it would support the GTX 1060. Stay with the specified CPU chips like the I7-8700. Stay away from the "K" versions. HP BIOS is not tolerate of meddling.
Neither the I7-4790 nor the 4790K are specified for the LINCS motherboard.

Thank you for the info about the cpu and psu. However I was wondering if there would be any psus that would work with a significantly larger wattage, like 700-1000 watts I have plans to expand and won’t always use this case so want something that will last for bigger and better GPUs and such. Also the ram is a very confusing option, says on Hp’s website that it supports up to 32gb ddr4 but also that the 2 dimm slots only support 8gb each would like to know what the max is.
