OMEN 30L Desktop PC GT13-1000i (1S3R6AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade the cpu on my system. I currently have Intel Core i7 11700, but i want to upgrade to Intel Core i5 13600k. Is this possible? I have read that many get issues with upgrading their cpu, bios issues and/ or that the motherboard does not find it.. someone know? Thanks!

@FastSweep,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

Your OMEN 30L Desktop PC GT13-1000i (1S3R6AV) is fitted with an i7-11700.

When we look here: https://www.userbenchmark.com/System/HP-OMEN-30L-Desktop-GT13-1xxx/233679, it shows that an Omen 30L GT13-1xxx fitted with a standard Oasis motherboard (SSID: 886B), can be fitted with processors with a TDP of up to 65-watt.  If you got this motherboard, the best you can do is a 65-watt i9-11900F.

If, however, you got the upgraded OasisOC motherboard (SSID: 886C), now you can upgrade to a 125-watt processors, the best being an i9-11900K.

You can find out what motherboard you got by typing in system information in your Windows search bar, clicking on the System Information App, and look to the right of "BaseBoard Product", where it shows a 4-digit alphanumerical number.

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,
