My desktop is J3A7LC6 INTEL i5-8400 CPU @ 2.8 GHZ, Installed RAM 12gbm 64 bit OS, x64 based processor. Came with Window 10, upgraded to Windows 11 Home. I need to upgrade the RAM to at least 16 GB but preferably higher. Using mainly for photography manipulation, AMD Radeon Graphics Processor (0x699F)

You will need to purchase a pair of guaranteed compatible memory modules and install them. That will also give you the added benefit of the memory operating in dual channel mode.
You will need to purchase them directly online from Kingston for the compatibility guarantee to be active.
The maximum installed memory for your motherboard is 32 GB.

It is also recommended for you to Install Windows 11 Pro instead of the Home version.
