Currently have a HP Envy 750 desktop with a 300w power supply unit, has 24 gb ram and intel i7 6700 cpu, and a Nividia Ge Force GTX 745
Wondering if I would be able to upgrade to a GTX 1550 ti without needing to upgrade any of the other uqipment (like PSU etc)
Has anyone done anything similar on a similar PC or know if its possible?
Any input would be appreciated!
Thanks.

Your PSU can handle it as a 300W PSU is the requirement. Just be sure to buy one that does not have dual fans which may require a power connector. I am not sure that your PSU has the required power plug. Otherwise that should be fine.

Thanks for the response.
Do you think it would handle both the gtx 745 and a 1550 ti both in there simultaneously? Just curious.
Also, would anyone know the procedure for installing the drivers? Should the PC be operable enough to navigate to where to install the correct drivers once installing it or will there be issues?
Thanks.

You cannot use SLI on those cards for the simple reason that you only have 1 PCIe x 16 slot and I don't believe these cards support SLI and they are far different cards. You would need 2 of the same cards if you could do it which you are unable to do. As for drivers, the card is plug and play and Windows 10 will install the correct driver to begin with. You can head over to Nvidia here and download the most recent drivers.
