I wanted to check whether the graphics card I found to upgrade my computer for better image processing is suitable for my HP pavilion - TP01-1545nd computer.

Someone suggested the MSI GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER VENTUS XS OC NVIDIA 6 GB GDDR6 to me, but I want to make sure it fits.

@Nic2221,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

Your HP Pavilion Desktop - TP01-1545nd (1G9T2EA) is fitted with a Baker motherboard (SSID: 8767) -please verify, and came with a paltry 180-watt power supply.

It is not just a matter of dimensional fit inside your case. Yes, the GTX 1660 Super would fit inside your desktop.  However, the power requirements for an MSI GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER VENTUS XS OC 6GB GDDR6 graphics card, as seen here, for example: https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/msi-gtx-1660-super-ventus-xs-oc.b7432, suggests at least a 300-watt power supply, plus one 8-pin PCIe power supply cable.

There is a 400-watt power supply with part number: L69242-800 equipped with an 8-pin PCIe power cable needed to power the aforementioned graphics card, which is compatible with your desktop.

You can purchase one of these 400-watt power supplies via eCommerce sites, such as eBay.

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,
