Hi,

I would like to upgrade my cpu cooler as it can be loud under load and runs hot (85 - 90°C).

I have a HP 795 and would like to know the dimenstions of the cpu cooler mount (screwhole to screwhole).

My pc came with a top fan cpu cooler. Is it good to replace this with a sideways cooler (Noctua NH U12A) and put the fans parallel with the case fan (same intake direction)?

Is there an adapter to make it compatible with the mounting system provided by the Berks 884c mount on the motherboard? Or will I have to replace the cpu mounting backplate to make it compatible to use the mounting system provided by noctua?

Kind regards

Roel

@Roel84,

Welcome to our HP User Community!

Happy to assist, but I would like some more details about your "HP 795": please provide the complete model number and/or "System SKU" number (look up "System Information"), which looks something like this: 5QA55AA#ABW.

Also, an HP Berks motherboard has SSID: 844C, not 884C. Again, in System Information, look up "BaseBoard Product" to verify, please.

Kind Regards,
