Hello,

I like to know if i can upgrade my Omen 880. It has a I7 processor ,32 gb ram and for the moment a Nvidia g-force 1070.
Is it possible to place a Nvidia GTX 3080?

You need to specify the exact model of HP 880 !  The card must be able to fit (length).  Some of those RTX 3080 can be 11 inches long.  Can you get an 4.3" x 11.5" piece of heavy cardboard to fit ?  How long is your GTX 1070 ?  What are you wanting to play ?

when i look at system info i see this:
Omen HO 880-p1XX
Intelcore I7-8700K CPU 3.7GHz
Nvidia Ge Force GTX 1080

 

I now play FS 2020, works good but i like to play it later when VR support is released .
I als play VR games like Alyx , works great to.
I guess i always want good stuff in my pc.

Why are you hiding the exact model number 🙄   And what is this "p" ?

Well at least I now know the CPU.  It ia a tad slow for MSFS2020 ☹️

 

Ryzen 7 Pro 2700X / Intel i7-9800X and 32GB motherboard RAM,  8GB Video RAM  RTX 2080 level card.

Now the RTX 3000 series is coming available, either the RTX 3080 or the RTX 3070

PSU of 750W-850W.   Best style MSFS joysticks are running $240-280

 IMHO the RTX 3080 in this configuration needs an 800-850W PSU.

Im not hiding the model number, that is exactly whats there on my computer screen . Ms FS 2020 runs great on my computer on ultra settings. Same for Half life Alyx.

Here is a linkte my computer specs, via serial number.
i have a 500 watt and i think this need a update to 750watt.

For the rest, i don't know...
