Product: OMEN 30L Desktop PC GT13-1000a (207P7AV)

I have this prebuilt and I want to upgrade my GPU for sure and possibly my CPU. Will the 5800X3D work on this HP Hana motherboard that came with my computer? Secondly, if it does, how would an RX7700X run with this system. I've learned a lot over the last 2 weeks but there is a ton of crap. I am a newbie for sure. Or do I bite the bullet and go AM5? Thanks for any feedback!

Your OMEN 30L Desktop PC GT13-1000a (207P7AV) as fitted with a Hana motherboard (SSID: 8876), is likely fitted with a Cooler Master ATX 500-watt power supply.

 

The best processor your PC is compatible with is an AMD Ryzen 9 5900X:

An AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D is not compatible with your PC, but a Ryzen 5800X3D is only marginally better performing (+5%) compared with a Ryzen 9 5900X processor: UserBenchmark: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D vs 9 5900X.

 

An RX 7700 XT requires a minimum 600-watt power supply, but I would strongly recommend a comparative Nvidia graphics card, such as an RTX 4070 or an RTX 4070 Ti.  If you go this route, upgrade your power supply with a 700-watt power supply.
