Product: HP Pavilion 590-p0032na
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

 My Paviilion 590-p0032na Lincs motherboard with SSID: 843B and processor Intel Core i3-8100 (Coffee Lake) with TDP 65W  has Processor upgrade information which appears to be quite restricted. For example power optimised processors, suffixed with a T,  are not included nor are any other processors with suffixes.  I would like to upgrade from an I3-8100 to an I5-8500T for a lower 35W TDP and slightly better performance. Is this a case where it is probably going to work but only CPUs without suffixes where tested and put on the list of upgrade options?

Yes, the 8th gen "T" processors are compatible with your Lincs motherboard, such as this User shows: HP Pavilion Desktop 590-p0xxx Performance Results - UserBenchmark.
