Just as an FYI to this group. I have the HP Pavilion 590-p0066 Desktop PC.
Lincs motherboard. I am running a GTX 1070 with the 310 watt PSU, overclocked 10%, and pulling 215watts from the wall. No, the card does not fit in the case, but a little hammer worked solved that. Add in a $40 nvme SSD and this is the silliest cheap gaming build I could imagine. I'm using it for Oculus Rift VR. 300 (ebay comp), 200 (ebay video card) 40 (nvme ssd) 540 total unit cost. I also used a 6pin to 8 pin pci-e power adapter. I do not recommend this as there is a lot of chance in this all working, but a lot of value if you can pull something similar off. The i5-8400 is the perfect sweet spot with the i7-8700 pulling all the attention and big bucks.
