Product: HP Pavilion 590-p0044

I'm looking to upgrade my PC processor with a new processor and was looking at upgrading to AMD Ryzen 5 5500 or AMD Ryzen 5 5600.  Is this a compatible upgrade from the AMD Ryzen 5 2400G?

@TigerJ79 , welcome to the Community.

 

Here are the "Product Specifications" for the computer.  Look at the section titled "Processor upgrade information" for a list of compatible processors.  These processors have all been tested to assure they are fully compatible with the motherboard.  The 5-5500 and 5-5600 are not on the list.  Therefore, they will not be compatible.
